The AWR: one year on

This time last year, many were concerned that the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) would create problems for recruitment agencies in particular as it was expected that there would be a reduction in the use of agency workers.

However, according the REC, the regulations have caused “limited problems” for business with only 4% of employers reporting they had a reduction in the use of the agency workers.
Furthermore, two out of three employers believe that AWR has had no impact on the costs of their business and employer satisfaction with staffing agencies remains high at 92%.
