What about the Paralympics legacy?

With so much focus still remaining on what legacy the Olympics will leave, what about the Paralympics, will there be any remnants left in the memories of not just Britons but in everyone around the world? The closing ceremony of the games is fast approaching on Sunday, and what has arguably been the most successful Paralympic games, the expectations to do even better are high.

Have the games provided an opportunity for attitudes towards disability to be challenged, not just within sport but across society as a whole. According to Hate Headley, development director at disability advisory firm, The Clear Company, employment rates of disabled and non-disables people currently stand at 48% and 78% respectively.

With such a huge focus shifted onto the amazing achievements of our Paralympians, perhaps this same enthusiasm can be transferred into motivate change in the minds of employer`s.
